To get to Greenland, you usually would go via Copenhagen. Air Greenland’s direct flight to Kangerlussuaq (Søndre Strømfjord) departs here. That gives you a chance to discover some of the many Greenland-related places in Copenhagen.

Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport – luxury right at the airport

Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport is the one hotel closest to the airport. In fact, you just walk out of its door and you are almost right at the terminal. It doesn’t get easier. The Clarion has 382 rooms from standard rooms to large suites.

At the hotel, you are going to find a restaurant, a café, a convenient spa-area, a gym and wi-fi. Metro and regional trains take you to the center of Copenhagen in only 15 minutes. You can also get the train in the opposite direction. It will take you to Malmö in Sweden in no time!

AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen – the biggest hotel in Scandinavia

Bella Sky is located in the part of town called Ørestaden, close to the conference center Bella Center and the shopping center Field’s. It is located with a short distance to the metro which takes you to Copenhagen’s city center in less than 10 minutes. You can get to the airport by metro (ca. 30 minutes with one shift) or by taxi in about 10 minutes.

If you are interested in a good view, this hotel is ideal. It has 23 floors, several restaurants and bars, a wellness- and spa area, free wi-fi and a lot more. If you have business contacts and want to host a meeting while you are in Copenhagen anyway, the hotel offers 30 flexible meeting- and conference rooms.

Bella Sky, which has 812 design-rooms, won a prize as the best hotel in Denmark at the Danish Travel Awards in 2016 and 2018. Bella Sky is a non-smoking hotel, so all rooms are naturally smoke-free.

Crown Plaza Copenhagen Towers – prize-winning sustainable hotel

Crown Plaza Copenhagen is also located in Ørestaden, close to the conference center Bella Center and the Field’s shopping center. There are less than 10 minutes to the center of Copenhagen by metro. Furthermore, the hotel runs a shuttle bus that takes you directly from and to the airport.

The hotel is environmentally friendly and has solar cells on most of its façade. There are bio-degradable products in the rooms, design furniture and generally an extraordinary high service level.

Park-Inn – modern and affordable, close to the airport

If distance to the airport matters to you then the Park-Inn in Copenhagen is an ideal place to stay. It is only five minutes’ metro ride away from the airport. The metro, which only is a minute’s walk away from the hotel, takes you to the city center within 10 minutes. The hotel is five minutes’ walk away from Amager Strandpark.

The hotel offers a spacey gym, an indoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a lounge bar. Apart from all the activities, you can try at Amager Strandpark, the aquarium “The Blue Planet” is only a mile away. You really should go and visit this fantastic aquarium.

The Park-Inn has 295 rooms and suits, all of them with free wi-fi.

Copenhagen Island – the modern choice by the harbor

Hotel Copenhagen Island is a modern hotel complex, composed of steel and light colors. The Danish architect Kim Utzon designed it. The hotel is located close to the waterfront in Copenhagen. You are near by the shopping center “Fisketorvet” and “Meat city” with its many cafés, restaurants and bars.

You also get easy access to the local S trains. The central station is only one stop away and from here, you can get on a train to the airport (about 20 minutes’ ride).

The Copenhagen Island offers 325 well-arranged rooms in five categories, all from standard rooms to suites and allergy-fit rooms. All rooms are non-smoking and most of them have a view to the waterfront.

The harbor area in Copenhagen has been through huge changes over the last ten years. It has become one of the places, where locals as well as visitors like to spend time all year round.

The Square – sleep right by the City Hall

The Square in Copenhagen has its name from its address, the City Hall Square. With this very central location you get easy access to everything the inner city has to offer.

Obviously, you cannot call your hotel ”the cube” or “the rectangle” without taking geometry seriously. You are going to find rectangles all over the hotel in one way or the other – also at the hotel’s 268 non-smoking rooms.

The Square is just around the corner from Tivoli, a stone’s throw from Strøget, Copenhagen’s pedestrian and shopping zone, as well as museums like the National Museum and the New Carlsberg Glyptotek.

The central station is five minutes’ walk from the hotel. From here, you can get to the airport within 20 minutes by train.

Hotel 71 Nyhavn Copenhagen – stay historically and centrally

If you prefer to stay in a historic neighborhood, “71 Nyhavn Hotel” could be the right choice for you. Two historic storage houses accommodate the hotel – a red and a yellow one, which date back the beginning of the 19th century. Both of them got built to store goods from faraway countries.

Hotel 71 Nyhavn is located right next to Nyhavn, the most-photographed spot in Copenhagen. Here you are going to find a number of restaurants, cafés and bars. The Royal Theater isn’t far away either and there are many possibilities for shopping. From the hotel, you get a view to the Opera and across the harbor – if you get up early, you might be able to watch a beautiful sunrise above it.

The hotel has some good bars and restaurants, among them SEA by Kiin Kiin. There are 130 rooms with interior that respects the history of the building. There are 12 different room categories, all from standard rooms to suites. The hotel is five minutes’ walk away from the metro that takes you to the airport in 13 minutes.

Wakeup Copenhagen – design in the center at a low price

Wakeup Copenhagen in Borgergade is a low-price hotel in the heart of Copenhagen. Just like Copenhagen Island, Wakeup has been designed by the famous Danish architect Kim Utzon. The hotel is situated in Borgergade, and therefore close to the Royal Theater, Nyhavn, a number of parks and lots of shopping facilities.

Wakeup Copenhagen in Borgergade is a brilliant choice for the ones looking for cheap accommodation in the center of Copenhagen. In this hotel, you will get a 3 or 4-star experience at a 2-starred price.

Wakeup in Borgergade composes of 498 rooms with flat screen tv, a desk, air condition and free wi-fi. There is a five minutes’ walk to the metro and 13 minutes to the airport from here. There are two types of rooms:

WAKEUP STANDARD – A good room, mostly placed lowest or at the back of the building.

WAKEUP SKY – A good room at the medium floors of the hotel and with a better view than WAKEUP STANDARD.
