Day 1:
Flight Copenhagen – Nuuk, accommodation, and optional city tour

You land in Greenland’s capital, Nuuk – a city where modern life meets Arctic nature. At the airport, our local representative will greet you and ensure that you are comfortably checked in at the centrally located Hotel Hans Egede Express.

City tour (part of the excursion package)

After check-in, you can join a guided city tour that introduces you to the city’s history, architecture, and everyday life – from the Colonial Harbor to modern cultural venues.

In the evening, we recommend dinner at one of Nuuk’s cozy restaurants, where Greenlandic ingredients and views of the fjord set the tone for the days ahead.

Day 2:
At your own pace or Qooqqut Nuan – Fish’n’Dish in Nuuk Fjord

Today, you can explore Nuuk on your own or join an unforgettable excursion.

Fish’n’Dish (part of the excursion package)

This day is all about nature and gastronomy. After breakfast, you head out into Nuuk Fjord for an unforgettable “Catch & Eat” experience. You sail to Qooqqut Nuan, where you catch your own fish – typically cod or redfish – which is then prepared by the restaurant’s chefs.

Along the way, you can enjoy impressive scenery with mountains, waterfalls, and perhaps even whales on the horizon. After lunch and some time to relax, you sail back to Nuuk.

The evening is free for your own experiences in the city.

Day 3:
Flight Nuuk – Ilulissat. Optional city tour and Icefjord cruise

After breakfast, your trip continues north to Ilulissat – the town by the Icefjord. Here, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the fantastic Hotel Arctic, where you check in with a view of the icebergs in Disko Bay.

In the afternoon, you can join a guided city tour and experience Ilulissat’s daily life and history.

You may also choose to join an unforgettable cruise among the majestic icebergs of Ilulissat Icefjord – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The day concludes with a welcome dinner at Brasserie Ulo.

Day 4:
Boat trip to Glacier Lodge Eqi – The grandeur and silence of nature

In the morning, you sail from Ilulissat to Glacier Lodge Eqi – a spectacular journey along the coast, passing icebergs and mountains before arriving at the lodge with a direct view of the active glacier Eqip Sermia.

Here, you stay in comfortable glamping tents, allowing you to be close to nature without compromising on comfort.

Hike to the river delta (part of the excursion package)

After arrival, you can join a guided hike to the river delta, where you experience the Arctic landscape at a gentle pace.

The evening includes dinner in the lodge’s restaurant and the peaceful ambiance of the surrounding nature.

Day 5:
Arctic tranquility and adventure – Sauna and hiking

The day begins with breakfast at the lodge while enjoying views of the glacier.

You have the option to book a relaxing session in the Glacier Sauna – a unique experience with views of the ever-changing ice.

Hike to the Ice Sheet (optional add-on)

You can also join a guided hike to the Greenland Ice Sheet – a demanding but unforgettable experience that brings you close to Greenland’s inner ice.

The day ends with dinner and perhaps a glass of wine on the terrace as the sun slowly sets over the glacier.

Return to Ilulissat – relaxation and farewell

After breakfast, you take part in a guided hike to the moraine, giving you unique insight into the glacier’s forces and the formation of the landscape. After lunch, you sail back to Ilulissat.

In the evening, you can enjoy a nice dinner and reflect on the many impressions from the journey.

Day 7:
Flight Ilulissat – Nuuk – Copenhagen

After breakfast, it is time to begin your journey home. You fly from Ilulissat to Nuuk and then continue to Copenhagen – with your luggage full of experiences and your camera filled with icebergs, glaciers, and Arctic memories.

Hotel Arctic

Greenland’s most famous hotel is Hotel Arctic in Ilulissat. It is located with a fantastic view of Ilulissat town, Ilulissat Ice Fjord, and Disko Bay. Hotel Arctic is the world’s northernmost 4-star hotel, and on top of that, the hotel features a 5-star conference center. The hotel is located just outside the town, approximately a 15-minute walk from the town center (app. 1.5 km from the central intersection in town).

The hotel has two great restaurants, and the large terrace outside the restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine while the sun shines its golden glow at midnight over the icebergs at Ilulissat Ice Fjord.

NOTE: The hotel offers airport transfers, but there are not transfers in connection with excursions or such.

Hotel HHE Express

Hotel HHE Express is located in the heart of Nuuk, in the area called Tuujuk. The Hotel is close to a shopping area and sightseeing options. The Hotel is a sister hotel to Hotel Hans Egede, which is also located in the central part of Nuuk. There is access to wifi in all areas of the hotel, the reception will be open 24 hours a day, and there is a café/coffee shop, where you can sit down and enjoy good food and get something to drink.

Please note: The beds are 140 cm wide and, unfortunately, it is not possible to have twin beds at Hotel Hans Egede Express.

Glacier Lodge Eqi

Glacier Lodge Eqi consists of cozy cabins and glamping tents, all of which have a terrace with a magnificent view of the Eqi Glacier on the other side of the fjord. Next to the cottages and tents, a café has been established where all meals are served. Glacier Lodge Eqi is located approximately 80 kilometers north of Ilulissat, and you can only get here by boat. You do not share a tent or cabin with anyone other than your fellow travelers, and it is often also possible to book a single cabin.

Each tent is furnished with good beds, duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels, and chairs.
