Restaurant KOKS is located in the Faroe Islands, but in 2022 and 2023 you've been able to find them in Ilimanaq. KOKS is staying for 2024, which means you still have the opportunity to try KOKS' tasting menu while experiencing the beautiful surroundings of Ilimanaq.
Restaurant KOKS, usually located in the Faroe Islands, where they have been awarded two Michelin stars, has moved to Ilimanaq Lodge for three summers. Therefore, you not only have the opportunity to stay in beautiful surroundings, but also enjoy a heavenly meal.
In 2024, you have the option to buy KOKS’ tasting menu separately or as an additional purchase with a stay at Ilimanaq Lodge.
Since we opened Ilimanaq Lodge with our group company World of Greenland in 2017, we have served food from Greenlandic ingredients prepared with a stylish new Nordic twist at Restaurant Egede, which is what the restaurant at Ilimanaq Lodge is called. It is located in one of the oldest listed buildings in Greenland.
Guests staying in one of the 15 bungalows at Ilimanaq Lodge gets breakfast and a 3-course dinner included in the price. Wednesday to Saturday you can upgrade to a KOKS Tasting menu in the evening, if there is room.
We are confident that the collaboration between World of Greenland and Restaurant KOKS – under the leadership of KOKS’s award-winning chef Poul Andrias Ziska – will ensure that Greenland will reach new gastronomic heights. This will further prove that Greenland is one of the very special destinations on the world map.
The KOKS Restaurant at Ilimanaq Lodge can only accommodate 30 people, and the demand is great. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee seats for guests not staying in our lodge.
