City Tour (included in the excursion package)

After check-in, you can join a guided city tour, where you will be introduced to the town’s history, architecture, and everyday life — from the old Colonial Harbor to modern cultural venues.

Day 2 Nuuk and Fjord Adventure (optional)

After breakfast, one of Greenland’s most beautiful natural experiences awaits you: a boat trip through Nuuk’s impressive fjord system.

Fjord Adventure (included in the excursion package)

You glide through the icy Arctic waters, surrounded by majestic mountains, and truly feel the power of nature. Along the way, you may be lucky enough to spot sea eagles, seals, and even whales in certain seasons, while the guide shares stories about the area’s nature, history, and local life. The tour offers a unique opportunity to experience the Arctic wilderness from the water and feel the silence and grandeur that only Nuuk’s fjords can deliver.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure — perhaps with a walk through town or a visit to one of the local museums.

Camilla Hylleberg - Visit Greenland
Day 3 Flight to Ilulissat and Optional Town Walk

After breakfast, your journey continues north to Ilulissat, the town of icebergs. Even during the approach, you get a preview of what awaits you: gigantic icebergs floating in Disko Bay. You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to Hotel Arctic.

Town Walk (included in the excursion package)

After an information meeting with our local representative, you can join a guided city walk through the old town, where you will hear stories about everything from Knud Rasmussen to the local justice system, the fishing industry, and life north of the Arctic Circle.

In the evening, a lovely welcome dinner is served at Hotel Arctic (drinks not included).

If you have purchased the Autumn Excursion Package, you will go on a short evening walk after dinner.

Northern Lights Tour (included in the Autumn Excursion Package)

The Northern Lights — also known as Aurora Borealis — are one of nature’s most magical spectacles. We invite you on an atmospheric evening excursion, where we leave the town lights behind and venture out into the surrounding nature. Out here, beneath the open starry sky, we create the best possible conditions for enjoying the silence and the magnificent sky show.

Please note: This tour only runs in clear weather. If it is cloudy, the tour will be cancelled on the same day. We will then do our best to find a new date for you. If that is not possible, you will, of course, receive a full refund. Please note that even on clear nights, the Northern Lights may appear faint — nature follows its own plans.
