You do not want to miss out on this popular trip bringing you to Kangerlussuaq by flight and Nuuk and onwards to Ilulissat.

Onboard Sarfaq Ittuk two great days at sea await. Remember a warm cap, gloves and of course your camera as sailing in Greenland is a quite cold pleasure, but at the same time a wonderful experience with lots of beautiful moments. The atmosphere in Sisimiut is warm and intense and exudes genuine Greenland. The call at Sisimiut is therefore a great break on the sailing trip.

Sarfaq Ittuk approaches Ilulissat. Spring with the strong light is way different high up here. Huge icebergs and giant icecubes float randomly around and bear witness to the wonder of the nature. The icefjord and Hotel Arctic welcome you in style, and the scene is set for a couple of adventurous days full of ice. Ilulissat is a true mecca of ice. The praise of the icefjord in our catalogues may sound as a cliché, but it is one of the most beautiful locations you'll ever encouter in your life. And you can experience this fascinating ice in many ways - from land, the air and sea - with each its charm.

Day program
Day 1
Flight from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq. Check-in at the cozy Polar Lodge. You will be welcomed by the tour guide. The rest of the afternoon is at your own disposal. Seize the opportunity to take a trip to impressive inland ice. In the evening there is a barbecue outside Polar Lodge.

Day 2
After breakfast the flight leaves for Nuuk - a wonderful mix of city pulse and grand nature. On the town tour you are introduced to some of the main attractions such as the National Museum, the beautiful culture centre Katuaq and the just as beautiful old town. The rest of the afternoon is at your own disposal. At 9 in the evening the coastal ship Sarfaq Ittuk leaves and you can look forward to two wonderful days at sea. Keep hat, gloves and camera in reach. Sailing in Greenland can be a cold pleasure, but indeed a beautiful one.

Day 3
The day is spent at sea with a short stop at Sisimiut. In Sisimiut there will also be a guided trip. 

Day 4
Arrival at Ilulissat around midday and accommodation at Hotel Arctic. Guided tour of the town. Ilulissat Icefjord is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its extraordinary beauty and enormous icebergs. The tour guide takes you on a town walk.

Days 5-7
The days are at your own disposal. Because of the amazing icefjord Ilulissat is one of the most visited towns in Greenland. The icebergs can be seen from land, sea and air. On the guided hiking trip to Sermermiut you will hear about the old settlement beautifully situated at the mouth of the icefjord. Furthermore, you should go on a sailing trip to the icefjord. In May and June the sailing trip takes place under the midnight sun - a golden color experience. You should also try one of the popular helicopter trips which give you a breathtaking view.
