The capital, Nuuk is an overlooked pearl. The beautiful fjord system with soft hills and an incredible hinterland, Sermitsiaq mountain throning in the background, the old town with wooden houses in sharp contrast to large apartment buildings, hunters and skater boys adorn the street in the small city.

The unique of the trip is that you sail with the coastal ship from Nuuk to Ilulissat. From city to greatness with a focus on ice. During the sailing trip you will get a close-up of Greenland's incredible size and endless coastline, where scatterede towns and settlements pops up as small signs of life.

Be prepared to be seduced by Ilulissat. The meeting with the icebergs, the fascinating icefjord, the thousands of sleddogs and the town's relaxed atmosphere is extremely intense. An incredible journey at sea and by air, which culminates with the inland ice in Kangerlussuaq.

Day program
Day 1
Flight from Copenhagen toKangerlussuaq, where you have plenty of time to explore this beautiful spot. After a trip to the amazing inland ice, you are invited to a barbecue event at Polar Lodge.

Day 2
Departure for Nuuk by flight and you have a day in the capital at your own disposal. We suggest that you go on a whale safari - remember to book this excursion from home. In mid-evening there is departure by ship northwards. You are accommodated in a cabin, and there is full board on the sailing trip to Ilulissat. Remember the warm clothes - and camera and possibly binoculars within reach.

Day 3
We call Sisimiut, which welcomes us with its whale jaw gate. If the schedule is kept, there are approx. 2 ½ hours landing in the cozy town. The tour guide gladly takes you on a short town walk, but you also have the opportunity to go around on your own.

Day 4
The world's most beautiful entry must be here at Ilulissat, where icebergs welcome you this early afternoon. After checking in at Hotel Arctic the tour guide takes you on a town walk, which includes a visit to the thriving fishing port. On the way you pass the beautiful Zion Church and Knud Rasmussen's birthplace. In the evening there is dinner at the hotel.

Day 5
The morning is used for a hiking trip to the abandoned settlement Sermermiut which is beautifully situated at the mouth of the ice fjord 1 ½ kilometer south of Ilulissat. The tour guide tells about the way of life in Greenland in the old days.

Day 6
Excursion to the small whaling settlement Oqaatsut / Rodebay by boat with lunch in the small cozy restaurant H8.

Day 7
The day is at your own disposition. In the evening there is farewell dinner at Hotel Arctic.

Day 8
The day is your own - enjoy the stunning view from the hotel over the town and the fjord one last time.

Day 9
Flight from Ilulissat to Kangerlussuaq at noon. In Kangerlussuaq, we take you on a trip to the fabled inland ice at 1 o'clock before departing in the evening to Copenhagen with arrival in the following morning.
