The Blue Lagoon
The bus trip from Reykjavik to the Blue Lagoon takes approx. 40 minutes. The buses run once an hour during the period 08:30 to 18:00 all year round.
The lagoon are ponds with warm mineral salt water from the underground surrounded by lava rocks and black sand beaches and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Iceland. It lies on the Reykjanes Peninsula at Grindavik in the southwest of Iceland near Keflavik approx. 50 km southwest of Reykjavik.
In the fenced area the temperature is kept at a constant 37-39 degrees. The water has a high content of white silica and sulfur and bathing in the almost luminescent water is good for both mind and body!
The south coast at 09:00 to 19:00
This trip is ideal for all nature lovers who appreciate nature's own wonders. It includes visits to the bubbling waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss with the many different formations. We travel along the southern coast of Iceland up to Vik in Myrdal, which is a small charming village surrounded by beautiful tall bird cliffs.
The highlights are a fabulous view over glaciers, a coastline of black lava sand and spectacular rock formations.
